Grow Into Your Dreams

Have you ever carried a dream in your heart so big that it almost feels overwhelming? A vision of what you’re meant to do, be, or create that seems far beyond your current abilities? Deep down, you know you’re supposed to pursue it but at the same time, you feel inadequate, as though the dream doesn’t quite “fit” you. Well, that’s the point. Dreams are meant to stretch you, to challenge you and to inspire you to grow into them.

Dreams often come one size too big so that we can grow into them– John C. Maxwell

The real value of a dream isn’t just in its accomplishment, but in who you become along the journey. Pursuing a God-given dream will pull you out of your comfort zone, expand your capacity, and shape you into a stronger, wiser version of yourself.

Take Joseph, for example. When he first received his dream, he was a young and somewhat naïve boy who eagerly shared his visions with his brothers, not realizing how it would provoke them. He wasn’t yet the man ready to handle such responsibility. But through the journey of betrayal, slavery, false accusation, and prison, Joseph was refined. By the time he was elevated to the position of second-in-command in Egypt, he had matured into the kind of leader who could steward resources wisely and show mercy to the very brothers who had betrayed him (Genesis 50:15-20). His dream wasn’t just about rulership, it was about the person he became through the process.

What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” – Zig Ziglar

So if the dream in your heart feels bigger than you are right now, don’t be discouraged, that’s a sign that it was made for you to grow into. Let it challenge you and draw out the potential already placed inside you. In the end, the true reward of pursuing your dream is not only the achievement itself, but also the transformation of who you will become along the way.
